My practice areas include general civil litigation, legal malpractice, family law, probate litigation, construction defect litigation, products liability and real estate. This includes jury and non-jury trials, arbitrations, as well as an appellate practice.

Litigation

I have forty-five years experience representing individuals, corporations and governmental entities in a wide array of litigation matters involving diverse and complex issues. These include product liability claims against automobile manufacturers, construction defect litigation on behalf of a city, legal malpractice claims, both prosecuting and defending, as well as the defense of wrongful termination lawsuits. This work has included numerous jury trials and a significant appellate practice.

Legal Malpractice

For more than twenty years, I have represented clients and attorneys in malpractice litigation. I have been successful in representing both sides of malpractice disputes, both at the trial and appellate level, as well as affecting substantial settlements.

Family Law

I engage in family law matters on a selective basis. Generally, I will decline representation should the parties be contesting the custody of children. I have engaged in family law matters involving the division and distribution of marital property in substantial sums.

Probate/Trust Litigation

I have the experience and ability to represent clients in complex trust litigation, including disputed accountings.

Real Estate

I handle a variety of real estate related matters, including quiet title actions, foreclosures and unlawful detainer actions.
